Point Au Roche Lodge

The lodge is not regularly staffed, so limited service. They are responsive to requests. The gathering space is extraordinary! Could accommodate a large gathering for family or meetings. The rooms are very generous in size, but not set up for remote work. The bed is very firm. The room I was in was well cleaned, but some minor maintenance issues. Waking with the sun coming in, the yard filled with wildlife, and the state park just across the street makes the stay priceless.

My husband & I had such a wonderful stay, we spent time on the nearby trails a significant amount of time by the fireside as we discussed a large life decision. This stay afforded us the perfect amount of privacy and homey atmosphere to leave our stress levels as low as possible while making this big life-move! Thank you so much for this beautiful little get away.

What a great little spot! It was off season, so very quiet and private - we pretty much had the whole lodge to ourselves! It was definitely a little chilly throughout, but there were space heaters in our room and logs on the fire to welcome us. It was a completely automated check-in, no staff on site made me a little nervous, but it was so easy to connect with staff with a quick call and they were able to sort everything out fast. Beautiful hardwood everywhere and lots of cozy spaces to relax. With a full communal kitchen to cook and store food in as well, I really had a hard time wanting to leave. Only real complaint would be not being able to utilize the beautiful jacuzzi tub offered, our main reason for booking the Weaver Suite, as there wasn't much hot water to be found. We for sure plan on returning in the warmer months so we can explore that beautiful state park right next door!

Our family of 3 stayed at Point Au Roche Lodge this weekend. The lodge is in a quiet setting conveniently located across from the state park. We had the Sailor Suite which on the top most floor. The view from our large windows enabled us to see wildlife...deer and birds including several cardinals. We had access to a full kitchen including pots, pans, dishes, etc.. There were other people in the lodge while we were there and everyone was very pleasant and easy to get along with. The lodge is very clean and well cared for. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

This place is beautiful. We have returned for two years now and stayed in a Jacuzzi suite with fireplace. Great jumping off point to hike the trails in the state park literally across the street. Ten minute drive to Plattsburgh, an hour to Lake Placid. Grizzly's Grill delivers to this lodge. Suites are large. Comfy winter lodge vibes area high.

We stopped here for one night driving from DC to Canada. It was a perfect spot for right before crossing the border. We had a dog and made a last minute reservation. The were so accommodating and kind. The room was large and very comfortable. It was clearly a very cared for place and we felt very welcome and comfortable. We left early so did not get to enjoy all they had to offer but did get in a quick, very cold, walk with the dog which was lovely and peaceful.

This lodge is amazing. Spacious rooms with their own decor. Quiet and cozy. The staff are extremely professional and helpful. We enjoyed the nearby town for dinner. We will find a reason to come back and stay again.

The rooms are very clean and decorated nicely. It is so quiet here. It is far from the highway, very little traffic. All the other guest where very quiet. Great place to just relax. Everything is like brand new. Dog Friendly. I usually bring a large wool blanket to protect the comforter in case my dog jumps on the bed. They have a beautiful furnished lounge, a library, kitchen and dining area that are for all the guests to share. I usually just stay the night so I am not familiar with what all is available.
